On June 15 of this year, the Jefferson Police Department assisted the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office in a theft investigation, executing a search warrant in the 600 block of West South Street in Jefferson. During the search for stolen property, authorities discovered and seized suspected narcotics and narcotic-related items. These were sent for testing, and lab results have come back positive for narcotics. Arrest warrants have been requested on three subjects. Eighteen-year-old Robert Christopher Thoma of Jefferson has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, both serious misdemeanors as well as possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Thirty-nine-year-old Sean Robert McKeage of Wesley and 18-year-old Jacob Austin Grife of Scranton have both been charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
