IowaWORKS Seeking Employers Interested In Offering Opportunities To Displaced Candy Company Workers

Is your business in need of employees? IowaWORKS is putting out a call to area employers that would like to make contact with the soon to be displaced workers at Ferrara Candy Company in Creston. Sherri Vaughn, a business marketing specialist with IowaWORKS, says they are currently collecting names of businesses, and once a plan of service is developed, they will contact the employees with the dates, times and opportunities available. Those interested in adding their name to this list can do so through the contact points included below. The Ferrara Candy Company, which makes Brachs, RedHots, Jujyfruits, Lemonheads and Trolli Gummi brand candies announced Wednesday that the plant will be closing in December, with over 250 employees losing their jobs.
