Homeless Man Suspected To Have Stolen Vehicle From Family That Gave Him Shelter

A homeless man is believed to be responsible for a motor vehicle theft from a Jefferson residence on Tuesday. The Jefferson Police Department responded to a complaint at 6:21 a.m. from Tickcha Jaimes, who says that the homeless man had been staying with the family in the 100 block of North Cedar Street for a few weeks. The missing vehicle, a 2004 Silver Toyota Rav 4, was a recent private purchase and did not yet have license plates. An investigation into this incident is ongoing.
