The Glidden Parks and Recreation Department is hosting Trunk or Treat again this year and will be offering cash prizes for the top three decorated vehicles. The celebration will be held from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 29 in the Glidden City Park. The third-place trunk will receive $20, second-place $30 and the top trunk wins $50. Families with children in sixth grade and younger are invited to attend. Free music will be provided during the event by Von Ketelson and hot dogs, water and chips will be available for participants. The city has a goal of at least 25 decorated vehicles and is still looking for volunteer organizations wanting to enter the contest.
