The City of Glidden is seeking recommendations from its citizens for items to put in a time capsule to be buried during the town’s 150th anniversary in August. The device the city intends to bury is relatively small so city officials ask pieces submitted to go in the capsule be able to fit without impeding other objects. A different 50-year-old time capsule, buried in 1967, will be opened this summer, and the items inside put on display during the quasquicentennial. If you have an item you would like to see stored for future generations to enjoy, submit them to Glidden City hall in person or by phone at 712-659-3010.
