Four Arrested In Storm Lake Drug Bust Tuesday Morning

Four Storm Lake residents have been arrested following the execution of a search warrant in Storm Lake this (Tuesday) morning. At approximately 6:15 a.m., the Storm Lake Police Department Tactical Team entered the home of 34-year-old Veil Jacoby Douglass at an apartment at 1123 North Ontario St. During the search, police located a quantity of substances believe to be methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia and scales used for the illegal sale of the narcotics. Douglass was arrested and charged with delivery of a controlled substance—methamphetamine, a class C felony, gathering where controlled substances are used, a class D felony, possession of a controlled substance—methamphetamine and cocaine, both serious misdemeanors, child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Two other people at the residence were also arrested, 20-year-old Jamal Carter and a 14-year-old male minor. Both have been charged with misdemeanor drug offenses. Police also arrested 39-year-old Jennifer Lichtenberg in connection to the investigation. She faces the same charges as Douglass as well as conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine, a class C felony. Douglass and Lichtenberg remain in custody at the Buena Vista County jail on a $10,000 bond each. Carter is being held on a $2,000 bond, and the minor was processed and released to a family member. The investigation began in September when authorities performed a controlled purchase of methamphetamine from Douglass. The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are anticipated. The Buena Vista County Attorney’s Office and Iowa Department of Human Services assisted in the investigation.
