East Sac County Offering Support For Students And Teammates After Loss Of A Student

An East Sac County (ESC) student is dead after an apparent equipment accident. According to initial reports, Ethan Nissen, a high school junior, died in what is believed to be a skid loader accident. The Sac County Sheriff’s Office has not released details surrounding the incident but did confirm deputies responded to a fatality scene Saturday. ESC officials have announced they will be closing the high school to all activities at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. All elementary, middle school and adult basketball programs have been cancelled at the high school gyms. High school counselor, Amanda Miller, will be available at the library tomorrow (Sunday) from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. for students, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for parents and adults, from 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. for track team members and from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. for the football team.
