Criss Committee Hosts Town Meeting To Hear Citizens’ Concerns On Sac City Beautification Project

The Sac City Criss Committee is hosting informational meetings tomorrow (Thursday) to discuss the direction of the community’s beautification project. The meeting is separated into sessions based on topic starting at midday in the Sac City Rec Center. From noon to 1 p.m., discussion will focus on the impact of the project on agribusiness and farmers in the region. The session for city staff will last from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., and businesses in Sac City’s downtown and Chamber of Commerce members are invited from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m to voice their concerns. The info sessions wrap up with city organizations and boards from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. The discussion will turn towards any other questions from citizens during the all town meeting Thursday night. From 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Brad Beck, from Beck Engineering, and Pat Bodie and Mike Bell, from RDG Design, will be at the meeting to answer questions and hear citizens’ concerns. The Criss Committee was founded after Sac City businessman, John Criss, left nearly $6 million to the city to be used for city improvements.
