The former United States Secretary of Labor, Robert Reich, has endorsed Democrat Kim Weaver for the 4th Congressional District seat. He said this endorsement is not about politics as usual, it is about decency. “Steve King shouldn’t be in Congress,” Reich said. “His views are inimical to Iowa and to the nation. Kim Weaver should be in Congress. She has the right values and will do you proud.” Weaver is expected to announce her candidacy in the race in the next few days. She said she is thrilled with Reich’s endorsement and, “Like a growing number of people in this district, Professor Reich understands the importance of moving from politics of division to politics of decency.”
