The Carroll Fire Department responded to a fire alarm activation in Carroll Tuesday afternoon. At approximately 12:15 p.m., emergency crews responded to 502 North Court St. to investigate the incident. Firefighters swept the building and uncovered no signs of smoke or fire. The department remained on scene for approximately 20 minutes, and brief investigation revealed the call was a false alarm. The Carroll Police Department and Carroll County Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene.
