Carroll City Council Moving Last Meeting Of The Year To Accommodate Continuation Of Library And City Hall Project Discussion

The next regularly-scheduled meeting of the Carroll City Council will be Monday, Dec. 11, but a lengthy discussion from their previous meeting will not be brought back on the agenda. On Nov. 27, the council discussed the most recent cost estimates from OPN Architects on the library and city hall renovation projects as well as the rental of temporary spaces for both. Many questions were raised by the general public and the council that could not be answered, and the council made a request that OPN be brought back in to answer them at the Dec. 11 meeting. Scheduling conflicts, however, have made it necessary to look for an alternative date for that topic. With one council member and one of the OPN representatives unavailable for next Monday’s meeting, the council has decided to move their Dec. 26 meeting up by one week, to Monday, Dec. 18 to accommodate this ongoing conversation. A resolution for approval of this change is on the agenda for next Monday’s session, which will get underway at 5:15 p.m. in the second-floor chambers in the Farner Government Building.
