Authorities with the Iowa State Patrol and the Des Moines Police Department are investigating a stabbing that occurred at the Iowa State Fair last night (Tuesday). At approximately 10:25 p.m. a 21-year-old male was stabbed near the southwest corner of the fairgrounds. He was transported to Mercy Hospital, where he is listed in critical, but stable condition. An investigation into the incident is ongoing and more details will be released as they become available.
