Several Jefferson residents called 911 on Sunday night, reporting the sound of gunfire. Captain Heath Enns with the Jefferson Police Department has verified that shots were fired at approximately 9:25 p.m. in the 100 block of South Pinet Street. There was damage done to a vehicle in that location, but no one was injured. The incident remains under investigation.
