Audubon Woman Faces Assault Charge Following Altercation At The Audubon County Jail

An Audubon woman has been charged with assault following an incident at the Audubon County jail on Saturday. At approximately 11 p.m., 36-year-old Tanya Lynn Snyder, who was in custody at the jail following an arrest for disorderly conduct and public intoxication, started an altercation between her and an Audubon County Sheriff’s Office deputy. Snyder now faces multiple charges: assault on a peace officer, as serious as a class D felony; public intoxication—third offense, an aggravated misdemeanor, and interference with official acts and disorderly conduct, both simple misdemeanors. Snyder was held at the jail and released following an appearance before a magistrate.
