The 2017 Relay for Life of Audubon County is kicking off their fundraising season this week with a gathering of cancer survivors, Relay teams and sponsors. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 30 at the Danish Countryside Vines & Wines near Elk Horn, supporters can learn more about the care the organization provides for patients and enjoy live music from Loren Christensen during the event. Wine and food will be available for sale throughout the evening. In 2016, the Audubon Relay for Life raised nearly $36,000 from 12 corporate sponsors and 44 local teams. Teams from last year or newly formed teams can register during the kick off. This year’s Relay takes place on Friday, June 30 from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the John James Audubon City Park.
