Just a reminder that area dog lovers will be given the chance to participate with their four-legged friends in a group outing while supporting the new K-9 unit for the Carroll Police Department this Saturday at Swan Lake State Park. The department is hosting their first K-9 5K beginning with check-in at 8 a.m. and a race start time of 10 a.m. There is a $25 charge per entry, with children 12 and under participating for free. There are some basic rules for the pets who will be participating, and they can be found below. The Carroll Police Department is expected to have their newest officer, Eudoris 3, in house sometime this coming November. All proceeds raised will be used to help offset any additional tools, supplies and ongoing expenses incurred for the new K-9.

Event Rules/Regulations:
All pets must be kept on a leash at all times.
If pet has shown aggressive behavior in the past, please muzzle for the event.
In case of bite incident, rabies vaccination records must be presented upon request.
All children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Event Waiver and Release of Liability Form must be completed and turned in at registration on the day of the event, otherwise participation will not be allowed.
