A Second Yesway Worker Arrested For Lottery Ticket Theft

Yesterday (Thursday), authorities announced a second Yesway worker from Fort Dodge is facing theft charges. Thirty-five-year-old Michell L. Ornellas of Rockwell City has been charged with second-degree theft of an estimated $600 in Iowa Lottery tickets and more than $2,500 in cash. The Fort Dodge Police Department was notified of the theft from a Yesway assistant manager who was investigating the missing money. Ornellas was arrested and held on a $5,000 bond. Her preliminary hearing has been set for Aug. 18. Just last week, on Aug. 1, a Yesway Store manager at the same store, 31-year-old Christopher A. Breyfogle, appeared before a judge on two counts of first-degree theft and one count of theft of lottery tickets. Authorities have accused Breyfogle of taking 23 packs of lottery tickets worth nearly $7,000.
