Union Pacific Train Delayed While Grain Spill Cleaned Off Tracks

A westbound Union Pacific train was stopped for a short time at approximately 1:13 p.m. yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon while workers removed grain from the tracks. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the railroad crossing on Highway 144 in Grand Junction after a gravity flow grain wagon, being pulled by Joe Dolan of Grand Junction, broke an axle at the crossing, spilling corn onto the tracks.
