The Union Pacific Railroad has recently donated $10,000 to the St. Anthony Regional Hospital Chronic Care Center. Director of Public Affairs for Union Pacific, Kelli O’Brien, presented the check to Chronic Care Center Vice President for Patient Services, Karen Timm, who says this money will help patients with diabetes, congestive heart failure, obesity and other chronic diseases. These treatments, according to Timm, are not typically reimbursed, but are vital to people with complex health issues, and she adds that this donation will be used to help expand services with two advanced practice registered nurses.
