SCC Coach Bryan Case Is In Final 15 Of U.S. Cellular Most Valuable Coach Program

Voting closed at noon on Monday, Oct. 17, and it was a tight race for South Central Calhoun head football coach Bryan Case of Lake City in the U.S. Cellular Most Valuable Coach program. Yesterday (Tuesday), U.S. Cellular announced that Case has made it to the final round and is one of 15 coaches from across the nation who will have the opportunity to receive $5,000 for their school and will be recognized on the field at the Under Armour All-America High School football game on Jan. 1, 2017 in Orlando, Fla. This afternoon (Friday), U.S. Cellular will be hosting a local celebration for Case and present the school with $1,000 beginning at 3 p.m. at South Central Calhoun High School. A short video detailing his story will be produced this afternoon and released on Nov. 11. Mike Adams, U.S. Cellular’s director of sales for Iowa and Nebraska, said their company has been inspired by the community support that has propelled Case into the final 15 and they are thrilled that, regardless of who wins, Case is leading and teaching young people in our community. Voting for the top two coaches is open now at TheMostValuableCoach.com. Anyone 13 years of age or older with a valid email address can vote once per day until voting closes at noon on Friday, Nov. 18. Case is joined in the top 15 by Iowa coaches, Joe Hadachek of Union in La Porte City and Rich Kacmarynski of Pella, along with coaches from California, Illinois, Maryland, Oklahoma, Virginia and Wisconsin.
