St. Anthony Regional Hospital is pleased to announce Emergency Department Director, Sara Roth of Wall Lake, has been awarded a $3,500 scholarship from the Iowa Hospital Education and Research Foundation (IHERF). Supported by the Iowa Hospital Association, the scholarship program was developed in 2004 to help address the ongoing shortage of health care professionals and to encourage young Iowans to establish or continue their careers with Iowa hospitals. Roth is a 2005 graduate of Wall Lake-Lake View-Auburn High School and is currently attending Chamberlain College of Nursing, studying for a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. This is the second consecutive year Roth has been awarded the scholarship. “Continuing education is a key component to improving your skillset and ensuring that we provide the best care possible to our patients,” Roth said. She is truly grateful for the scholarship and the support of students who are taking time to better educate themselves to serve others and to ensure the future strength of health care for Iowans.
