MRHC Talks Cardio Vascular Health At Fourth Annual Heart To Heart Conversation

February is American Heart Month, and Manning Regional Healthcare Center will continue their community conversations on heart health and cardiovascular well-being in their fourth annual Heart to Heart conference on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at the Hausbarn Konfrenz Centre in Manning. One person every 40 seconds will die from heart disease, stroke or other cardiovascular diseases and nearly 83.6 million Americans are living with some form of cardiovascular disease. MRHC wants to help educate people on how to recognize signs of heart issues, how to work in partnership with healthcare partners to treat heart disease and preventative measures. The 2016 Heart to Heart conversation will focus on knowing your numbers, warning signs and symptoms and overall cardiovascular wellness. Jason Rosenbeck of Coon Rapids, who is a recent sudden cardiac arrest survivor, will be the featured speaker and will talk about his experiences. Dr. Kyle Ulveling of the Iowa Heart Center will also speak about the importance of knowing your numbers and what they mean to you. The evening program will get underway at 4:30 p.m. with a social hour, vendor fair and heart-healthy cooking demonstration. A catered dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. followed by the evening’s program. Tickets are $20 each and available from Manning Regional Healthcare Center, First National Bank and Templeton Savings Bank in Manning. You can also contact Sarah Foley at 712-655-2072 for more information or to reserve tickets. Proceeds will be used to purchase cardiac equipment for MRHC.
