Landus Cooperative Prepping For Harvest With Site Upgrades And Member Meeting Schedule

Preparations for harvest are well underway at Landus Cooperative, who has announced they have invested more than $8 million dollars to add 1.8 million bushels of storage, receiving and drying capacity. Landus has completed $2.5 million in new construction at their Early location in Sac County with the addition of a 300,000 bushel upright steel wet holding bin as well as a 7,000 bushel-per-hour dryer with two new conveyor legs. Construction on another $2.5 million, 700,000 bushel steel bin and conveyor equipment was completed earlier this summer in Boxholm and construction of a new 840,000 bushel bin and upgraded conveying equipment at $3.1 million will be completed soon in Woodward. In addition to the physical plant preparations for harvest, Landus is inviting members and customers to a series of pre-harvest meetings. Attendees will get the opportunity to hear from cooperative leaders and local grain marketers regarding grain policies and marketing opportunities. Landus is expecting to see new crop soybeans and potentially some new crop corn coming across location scales by mid-September. A full schedule of meetings can be found by following the link included below.
