Andrew Lauver of Lake City, a seed sales and service professional with DuPont Pioneer, has been named the 2016 Emerging Iowa Leader by the Iowa State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Lauver, who received his Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural studies in 2012, was selected for making significant contributions to the college’s young alumni program, The Curtiss League, which is an initiative providing recruitment and advocacy opportunities for alumni 40 years old and younger. Lauver was presented with the award at center court of Hilton Coliseum Saturday, Feb. 6, by Dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Wendy Wintersteen, during the Cyclone women’s basketball game. Wintersteen said that Lauver’s positive and enthusiastic support of the college has helped raise awareness for strategic initiatives and has helped in recruiting students. He is a known and effective advocate for agriculture and demonstrates the impact our graduates make in their communities.
