The excitement continues to grow for the Carroll Merchants inaugural season home opener against the Sioux Falls Pilots on Friday, June 3rd at 7pm. An update was presented to the city council on Monday night, Carroll Broadcasting caught up with John Perrin who says sponsorship for the Merchants has really taken off.
Part of what makes the Merchants games very different from other high school or college games is alcohol will be sold at the games and Shannon Landauer addressed the city council to update the procedures the team will be following with beer sales.
Wristbands will be issued to easily identify who is allowed to purchase alcohol at the games and no permanent signage will be left out after Merchants games this summer. The license for alcohol sales was approved by the city council by unanimous vote.
