East Sac Count Board Of Education Approves New Teacher Contracts

The East Sac County Board of Education met Tuesday evening on July 26 to address several concerns before the start of the 2016/17 school year. One of the primary concerns during this meeting was the approval of six new contracts for new or returning employees to the school district. East Sac County Superintendent, Barb Kruthoff explains these contracts.

Brianna Fowler, a middle school math teacher, Jill Lowe, a middle school special education instructor and Val Buse, a half-time middle school special education teacher, are the educators that have received new contracts. The school still has about 10 other position to fill for the upcoming school year.

The board also discussed some course changes brought from the Department of Education.

Kruthoff went on to say they don’t expect any true course changes to occur until July 2017. The board also approved an agreement with the Sac Community Center to allow the district to continue using the gym located there for district needs. This agreement has been in place for a number of years. Classes start for the East Sac School District on Wednesday, Aug. 24.
