Collision In Jefferson Causes $13,000 In Damages

There was over $13,000 in property damage reported after an accident at the intersection of Chestnut and Vest Streets in Jefferson yesterday (Tuesday) morning. At approximately 7:41 a.m., a 2001 Buick Regal, owned by Jake Ball and driven by Megan Ball of Jefferson, had stopped at a posted stop sign on Vest Street. Ball proceeded through the intersection, but did not see the 2000 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Nicholas Hydlebaugh of Rippey, approaching from the north. The Ball vehicle struck the driver’s side door of Hydlebaugh’s car, causing a reported $8,000 in damages. The Ball vehicle suffered an estimated $5,000 in damage to the front end. Ball was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
