Carroll Officials Pleased With Latest Water Quality Report

The City of Carroll has received their annual Consumer Confidence report on the quality of drinking water in the system. Water Superintendent, Terry Kluver, said they are pleased with the results of the monitoring that took place between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31 of 2015.

Kluver said this report is made available to all residents and businesses in the community through a variety of channels.

Even though the report uses the word “contaminant,” Kluver said there are two important things to keep in mind. First is that some of these are naturally occurring elements, some are by-products of disinfection and some are present because of the aging of household plumbing systems. The second thing, and the one that means the most, is the column headed “Violation.”

Some of the dates are before the monitoring period for this report, Kluver pointed out, and that is because the city is required to test some items at three or five year intervals rather than annually. Kluver added that all consumers are invited to reach out with questions or concerns.

You find the report by following the link below and you can contact the water department at 792-6753 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
