Carroll Chamber Of Commerce Hosts Seminar To Boost Local Online Presence

In order for a company to be successful in today’s business climate, it is necessary for them to have an online presence. Some business owners might not know how to get their name out on the web, but Joseph Rossiter, program director with the Carroll Chamber of Commerce, says they are partnering with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to host a seminar to help out these owners.

The Google workshop, titled “Let’s Put Our Cities on the Map”, intends to spread the word on the importance of getting local businesses and places to appear on a Google search or Google Maps. Rossiter wants business owners to make it to at least one meeting, and those sessions are Tuesday, Oct. 11 at the Carroll Chamber of Commerce HBC Building.

The event comes at no cost, but attendees will need to bring their own laptop, tablet or mobile device to participate in the seminar. Those wishing to attend will need to register beforehand and can do so by following the link included with this story below or by calling the Carroll Chamber of Commerce at 792-4383.
