Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office Is Getting A New Set Of Wheels

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office released the bids received for their purchase of a new patrol car. During Monday’s Calhoun County Board of Supervisors meeting, Sheriff William Davis presented the bids for a new 2017 Dodge Charger. Champion Chrysler in Rockwell City submitted the only bid at $21,120. The county received a $3,200 credit for their trade in for a total of $17,920. This does not include the cost of installing the needed lights and markings onto the vehicle. The Sheriff’s office has six deputies, and one of the deputies gets an upgrade each year. The patrol cars serve in a six year rotation and are traded in as part of the bid.
