Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders congratulated his supporters via email recently for raising over $40 million without having a super PAC. He also announced that starting today (Friday), his Iowa campaign is launching a “Weekend of Action.” Not only with there be volunteers canvassing the state, door-to-door and by phone, they will be present at all 15 Iowa field offices, and the Des Moines office will host former Texas Agriculture Commissioner, Jim Hightower. Sanders says this is his way of thanking over the one million contributions made to his campaign to date. Sanders’ State Director, Robert Becker, said it is unparalleled momentum and enthusiasm that is fueling the grassroots effort to identify, inspire and mobilize caucus-goers for Sanders.
