Florida Senator Marco Rubio told the Carroll area he holds a staunch pro-life stance from both a moral and constitutional perspective. He discussed his belief that since all life is worthy of protection by our laws, Roe versus wade should be overturned.
Until that is done, he wants to see strict enforcement of illegal procedures.
Rubio iterated that the penalties would never be on the woman, he would enforce them on the practitioners of illegal procedures. He added that the United States government is also currently funding abortions overseas. As President, Rubio would reinstitute the Mexico City Policy. This, he said would remove all Federal funding used for abortions outside the United States.
