One man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of 120th Street and Mahogany Ave. north of Carroll on Thursday evening. At approximately 5:00 p.m., the Carroll County Sheriff’s office responded to the scene to find that a 2007 Chevrolet K2500 pulling a grain vac driven by 26-year-old Chad Michael Wiederin of Lake City had been traveling eastbound on 120th Street when he was struck in the driver-side door by a 2008 GMC C2500 driven by 21-year-old William Corey Jacobs of Auburn. The impact caused the Jacobs’ vehicle to enter the 120th Street north ditch. The Wiederin vehicle also entered the north ditch where it rolled onto its top. The grain vac overturned, striking the side of the Jacobs truck. There was an estimated $15,000 damage to the Wiederin vehicle and $13,000 to the Jacobs vehicle. Jacobs was transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital by private vehicle for evaluation.
