Iowa Veterans Can Learn More About Benefits At Care Fairs

In order for Iowa veterans to learn more about the benefits and services available to them from federal, state and local agencies, colleges, universities, charities and service organizations, Congressman David Young will be hosting a series of Veterans Care Fairs in October and November. Young said we all owe a debt of gratitude to the brave men and women in the Armed Forces and it must be a top priority to protect and provide for those who have honorably served to defend America and its citizens. The Care Fairs will give these veterans a one-stop shop to connect with agencies and organizations that handle benefits. The first will take place at the University of Iowa’s John and Mary Pappajohn Education Center on Saturday, Oct. 24 in Des Moines from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The second Care Fair will also be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14, in the Abraham Lincoln High School cafeteria in Council Bluffs. No registration is needed to attend and additional information can be found by visiting www.davidyoung.house.gov.
