Carroll, Iowa — Pope Francis will be the first Pope to ever address a joint meeting of Congress and will speak inside the Capitol in the House of Representatives Thursday, Sept. 24. Senator Chuck Grassley is offering Iowans a chance to participate in this historic event. He will be receiving 200 tickets for a simulcast of the event that will be held on the west front grounds of the US Capitol. He and his wife Barbara are planning to attend. Iowan’s interested in tickets should contact Grassley’s office at 202-224-3744. If the number of ticket requests exceeds 200, Grassley said they will be distributed by lottery.
