Employer Education Summit Scheduled For September In Templeton

Templeton, Iowa — Education does not end with formal schooling, and employers are finding that nearly 50 percent of Iowa’s job require workers with Middle Skills, but only 33 percent of the workforce currently has those skills. Midwest Partnership Economic Development sees the importance of preparing the groundwork for students to be equipped with the skills that are in demand today. They are hosting and Employer Educator Summit to provide information on the Middle Skills Gap and how education and business can work together to develop citizens who possess the right skills for our changing society. The Summit will be held Sept. 17 at the Templeton Center.
