Breast cancer screening program helps low-income women at Carroll County Public Health

In the month of October the autumn season arrives, kids will go trick-or-treating, and many will wear the color pink recognizing October as Breast Cancer Awareness month. Though breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States many find themselves unable to afford prescreening care. Carroll County Public Health Clinic Coordinator, Julie Town says there is aid available through the Care for Yourself Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program. She says it’s designed specifically to help women in need.
