Carroll, Iowa — As school gets underway, students, faculty and staff at Kuemper Catholic School system are planning a celebration of the completion of the newly remodeled chapel and science labs in the high school building. On Friday, Sept. 4, Bishop R. Walker Nickless will be at Kuemper to bless the chapel and science labs and to preside over a mass in the new chapel. Development Director, Sharon Olerich said the recent renovations are some of the first projects completed from funds raised through the Kuemper Tomorrow capital campaign, which reached its “Celebration Goal” of $4.6 million last spring. The mass and blessings will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a complimentary lunch to follow. There will also be a 12-hour Eucharistic adoration in the chapel from 12:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on the 4th.
