AGP Announces New Processing Plant To Be Built In South Dakota

Ag Processing Inc. (AGP) announced today (Friday) the selection of Aberdeen, South Dakota as the newest location for a soybean processing plant. This will be the 10th plant for the company and the first in South Dakota. Chief Executive Officer Keith Spackler said the selection is a result of extensive analysis and negotiation to locate the plant in a region that has the strategic attributes necessary to ensure success. Company officials say the plant will create approximately 50 jobs with excellent compensation and benefits and will benefit area livestock production from a competitive supply of local soybean meal from the facility. Final construction decisions are contingent on the completion of agreements with state and local officials.
