Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2011-12 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Josiah Simburger, Northwestern – 141 Pound Weight Class
Northwestern wrestler Josiah Simburger is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-American Sports Wrestler of the Week. Simburger, a senior from Mandan, North Dakota, went 7-0 on the week winning the 141 pound weight class at the York Open with a 6-0 record. He had impressive victories over NAIA’s #12 ranked wrestler Christian Hernandez from Bacone (winning 16-5 in a major decision). He also defeated the second ranked wrestler in the NAIA North Group (Alex Stapanek of Concordia) with a 7-0 decision. Also in the York open he picked up a win against a NCAA Division I Chad Stroh from Nebraska 9-6. Northwestern won a dual over Hastings (36-9) earlier in the week. In that match Simburger won over Garth Ginder in a major decision 11-3.
