Halbur Fire Department receives funds

Fire departments across the state of Iowa are receiving a total of $215,000 dollars. Six fire departments will get some of the funds which are being awarded from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. Included in the six is the Halbur Fire Department which will receive just over $40,000 dollars. The AFG program helps Iowa communities purchase equipment, improve facilities, and add health and wellness programs.
